From IT to Ayurveda
Before embarking on this path, I spent fifteen years in the IT industry, frequently traveling between the U.S. and India. Despite professional success, I found myself seeking solutions beyond Western medicine for managing chronic pain, depression, and mood support. My personal search led me to Cannabis in 2011. While the potential was clear, the options available at the time didn’t meet my needs.
Many users find themselves overwhelmed by anxiety and discomfort when consuming conventional cannabis, detracting from the potential benefits and leading to negative experiences. Conventional cannabis often lacks the ancient purification process for a truly transformative experience, leaving users uncertain about its effectiveness. Additionally, mainstream cannabis culture tends to prioritize recreational use, neglecting the deeper healing and spiritual potential that cannabis offers, sometimes leaving individuals searching for more meaningful alternatives.
The Ayurvedic Cannabis Alternative
Ayurvedic Medicine recognizes cannabis in approximately 200 classical formulations, honoring its role in yogic and spiritual traditions for its diverse benefits. Classified as ‘upavisha‘ in Ayurveda for its inherent potency, cannabis undergoes purification through ‘shodhana,‘ a process that not only removes its toxic qualities but also elevates it to its highest potential. Through shodhana, those potent qualities not required are released, transforming cannabis into a sacred elixir of healing for body, mind, and spirit.
In essence, ‘Ayurvedic Cannabis’ refers to cannabis that has undergone the ancient shodhana process. This transformed preparation, when approached as a sacrament in ceremony, may offer practitioners a heart-opening and deeply profound journey.
The Birth of Siddhi Tonics
Inspired by my deep connection to Indian culture and the historic use of cannabis as medicine—as documented in India’s traditional sciences like Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani—I created Siddhi Tonics. This brand is my response to a personal quest for better options, and my way of sharing the transformative power of whole-plant herbal formulations.
From Product Offerings to Ceremony
While Siddhi Tonics’ product offerings provide a way for people to access this ancient and unique preparation, my favorite way to introduce and share bhang is in a circle, within a community setting. Ceremony adds intention and a sense of reverence for the plant and the gifts it offers. By bringing presence, breath, and meditation into the experience, while taking time to focus inward, we offer ourselves a profound gift.
I’ve lost count of how many participants have shared the depth of their experiences in Siddhi Circle. This inspiration led me to create Siddhi Circle, and it continues to drive my passion for offering these ceremonies. I look forward to communing with you!
